When the bird is awakened by dawn it does not only think of food and comfort. Its wings respond to the call of the sky. Its throat fills with song to greet the coming day. But good people have overslept, and we awake to hell-world. The demands of the day are imperious. The house, looted by night, is on fire and everybody needs to pick up a bucket, go outside and help put it out.
Each passing moment clamors for action and attention. Let a renewed humanity respond to its call. America, a baby, is crying. We cannot ignore its call for attention. It needs our love. Its place though, not to rule the world obsessed with profit and consumption, or with wealth won through coercive and murderous force stopping at nothing.
Blind faith in a handful of chosen ones means supreme liberty for them and blind obedience for the rest. In poverty of character, they are weakening, terrorising, and stripping the masses of savings, future and dignity. This by a small number of intellectuals and technocrats run mad with addiction. The people investing in disaster. The people who mistake the discipline chosen to attain an ideal, for the ideal itself. The people who feel at ease only on a narrow path, transfixed and fascinated by the simplistic rigidity of its climb. We must turn from this path.
All moral forces of the world are called upon, all must be debated and resolved. No lies and false patriotism in the name of murder. For the first time, we see ourselves clearly as a species, and its time to decide upon what ground we stand.
Economists find practical solutions. Teachers teach. Statesmen ponder. Workers work. The desire to learn and improve must be unrestrained, with no hidden pressure or deceit weighing on the outcome. A cause this great must not be dependent on the will and strength of a single master. Free of insipid vision, mankind will find itself redeemable.
Its said 40% of America wish for God's invisible hand to guide the economy. They do not realise His hand is with us always. The time for renewal is here. Abuse of trust has progressed too far. Too long has reason been surrendered into another's hand, blinding ourselves to infringements on social progress, accepting the deceits of politicians and businessmen under their overwhelming economic/karmic burden.
Rise then like birds into the sky while you have the strength and freedom to do so. There is hope for a better way. Grace be with you. Mercy and peace.
